February 2013

February was a great month! We celebrated the anticipated arrival of Sara and Ben's baby girl, Davis had his first ski lesson, we went to Monster Jam and Davis' preschool class had a fun Valentine's Day party. Oh, wait, and we went to DISNEYLAND! That trip will require it's own post so more on that later.

On February 9th all of Sara's family and friends gathered to celebrate her baby's anticipated arrival. The shower was hosted at Jeannie's house and given by mom, Jeannie, Char and myself. The pinks, green and grey themed shower turned out beautifully and she got lots of great gifts!

On February 3rd and 8th we took Davis to Loveland for ski lessons. His first lesson (on the 3rd) was not a great lesson because the class size was way too large and he was upset because his nose was running the whole time. His lesson on the 8th was much better. He did a private lesson and he really gained confidence in learning the sport. After his lesson Eric joined him for a ski/snowboard date. On our way home we stopped at our favorite place....Woody's Pizza.

On February 9th Sara got us box seats at the Pepsi center for Monster Jam! We rooted for the Grave Digger and had a blast watching monster trucks, motor cross tricks and four-wheel racing. Oh, and the popcorn, cotton candy and peanut M & M's were great, too!

Davis' preschool class (Ms. Sarah's Lions class) celebrated Valentine's Day on February 13th and I was one of two classroom moms who helped plan and hot the party (the other is Melanie, Drew's mom).
