This year Davis’ birthday was on a Wednesday so he got to celebrate his birthday with his school buddies. He was allowed to bring a treat to school so he wanted to bring Hostess cupcakes. Yum! That night we invited our family over to celebrate his big day with pizza, salad, cake and presents. He got a huge Lego table from Mimi and Pa-Pow, Cars 2 Action Agent cars and “Genius” from grandma and grandpa and Wheelie shoes from Aunt Sisu and Ben. He wanted “a chocolate Cars 2 cake with just Lightning McQueen and Francesco”.
On January 5th we celebrated his birthday with his friends at Chuck E Cheese. Anyone who has kids knows that CEC is bananas on a weekend and the only sane way to do a birthday party there is to do it during the week. We had his party on Thursday and I think we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. I think Davis ’ buddies(Delaney, Owen, Brady and Nicholas) had just as much fun as he did. They played games, ate pizza and danced with Chuck E Cheese himself. The highlight of the party was the Ticket Blaster. It’s every kids’ dream…standing in a wind booth and catching as many tickets as you can in a minute. He probably got a few hundred tickets but they rounded it up to 1,500. With that many tickets he got to forgo the glass cases that he usually shops from and got to pick something off of THE WALL!
