In case you forgot...

Sadly, for Davis, 2010 was no better.
We'd been talking to Davis about visiting Santa for several weeks. Knowing how last year went we anticipated that this year might be a repeat. So, we talked to Davis about sitting on Santa's lap (which he clearly stated he would NOT do), then we talked about all of us sitting with Santa and we even went so far as to make a back-up plan of writing a letter that we could just mail to the North Pole.
The big day came and Davis seemed excited. We got him spiffed up and prepared the letter to Santa - just in case.
Getting out of the car at Park Meadows Mall - he seems pretty excited.
Waiting in line...I think you can see the hesitation in his face. Oh, and when I went to the Apple store he bolted from Eric and was down to Dillard's before Eric could catch him. That could have been our first clue.
We put his letter to Santa in the mailbox before our turn - just in case.
When we got into Santa's room I forewarned everyone that they were going to need to snap the photo FAST!
And.....
This was two seconds before Davis totally flipped out.
Notice how Eric and I were totally ready for the photo?
After the Santa melt-down.
The sad thing is that afterward Davis was crying because he was so disappointed that he didn't tell Santa what he wanted. Eric reassured him that he got the letter and that as long as he was a good boy Santa would come on Christmas Eve.
Too bad we only have a week left to use Santa as "good boy" leverage!
