I wanted to start this post off with something festive like Davis' very first Gingerbread House. He didn't get that the candy was just for decoration. He thought he was making it for the sole purpose of eating it. That's ma' boy!
This Christmas is probably the best Christmas Eric and I have had in the 11 years we've been married. While all our holidays are special this one was the first one where we got to see first hand the magic of Christmas through OUR child's eyes. The past two Christmases Davis was excited to open presents but this year he actually got it - all of it - Santa, Rudolph, the chimney, stockings, Santa cookies, milk and carrots for the reindeer!
Here is how we spent the holidays...
Christmas Eve at Mimi and Pa-Pow's House:
Family photo.
Davis, the helper.
His new drum set.
Opening presents with Uncle Jay.
Christmas Eve at Home:
Me and D.
Daddy and D hanging the stockings with care.
Cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.
Christmas Morning:
Davis' letter to Santa asked for (and I quote): A parking garage, the marble thing, the roller coaster thing and electric guitar. Note: the marble thing and the roller coaster thing are the same "thing".
First thing Christmas morning. Bed-head and all!
Morning family photo.
The parking garage (Piston Cup Garage to be specific).
His electric guitar (and amp).
The "marble thing" (also known as the "roller coaster" thing).
An easel (he didn't ask for it - but Santa liked it).
Cheers! Don't worry - it's just sparkling apple juice.
Family photo.
Diggy and grandpa.
