The Good Stuff: One Item Checked Off My Bucket List

Okay, so I don't have a formal Bucket List. But, if I did (which I'm thinking about doing) the Atlantis Hotel on Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas would be on it. Ever since Oprah taped her show there years ago - it's been a dream of mine to visit there! Lucky for me my vacation last week (with my mom and sister )checked one item off my unofficial bucket list.

Least my trip to Atlantis overshadow my entire vacation - we did visit all four Disney World parks (in one day!) and took a 3 night cruise to Nassau and Coco Cay, Bahamas. In one word - it was INCREDIBLE!

We arrived at 11:00pm on Thursday April 28th and woke up bright and early Friday morning for a full day at Disney World! We got a Park Hopper Pass and only had one day to see all the parks. I know, anyone who has been to Disney World knows it's nearly impossible to see all four parks in one day. Desperate times call for desperate measures and we were desperate! We had a fool-proof plan for the nearly-impossible adventure. We knew all the rides we wanted to ride at each park and had maps so we could find them as quickly as possible. The plan paid off (as it usually does when you have three over analytical Disney nuts on the job). The photos help tell the story...

On Saturday we left Orlando for Port Canaveral, Florida where we boarded The Monarch of the Seas for a 3 night cruise to Nassau, Bahamas and Coco Cay (Royal Caribbeans private island in the Bahamas). We spent one day at Atlantis (on Paradise island in Nassau) and one day on Coco Cay. The Atlantis resort was just like being at a hotel in Las Vegas - luxurious, beautiful and filled with lots of restaurants, shops and casinos. I LOVED IT! Just in case you were wondering, the beaches in the Bahamas are some of the most beautiful ones on Earth. I can't wait to go back! You can see why...
