The Best 15 Seconds of My Day

Far and above, the best 15 seconds of my day happen right after Davis wakes up from his nap. Inevitably I will be working (on work) at my dining room table. I will hear Davis start to stir...then soon I see him peeking down at me from the top of the stairs. He comes down to find me at the table (all along I'm pretending I don’t know he is awake) and sleepily announces that he is awake. I look at him surprised, like it's Christmas morning (which, it kinda is, but better), and hold out my arms like I’ve been waiting for him to wake for hours (which I have). He falls into my arms and I get to snuggle (without a struggle) my warm, cozy, snuggly little man. The hug is about 15 seconds...the best 15 seconds of my day.
