It Wasn't My Idea

I'm slowly getting over the shock. Truth be told, it was in Davis' best interest. It really needed to be done for the summer. No matter how much you try to prepare there is little you can do be ready for THE HAIR CUT. The haircut that changes him from an innocent little toddler to a little boy full of piss and vinegar. It's the haircut that changes him from your cute little guy with cool scraggly hair to a mini-man who looks like his daddy heading off to a day at the office.

It really wasn't my idea. But, I agreed to it. And, I took him to get it done. I kept a small locket of hair and keep telling myself that he'll be so much happier this summer with short hair (you've never met a kid that runs as HOT as Davis). I also keep telling myself that it's just hair...it will grow back. But, that's not really what this is about. It's really about my baby growing up. So this week it may be the hair cut, but soon it will be size 3T clothes, then kindergarten, then driving, then college. Just another reminder to live in the moment and take every day for what it is...a gift.

The cut!

The reveal!
