The Holidays 2009

Me (to myself): "Wow! I have a ton of photos and a huge list of things I want to add to the blog!"

Myself: "Yeah, well...if you'd updated the blog weekly like you SAID you were going to...it wouldn't be such a huge task."

Me: "Good point. Maybe I'll just do a Reader's Digest version of all the holiday stuff. Then, starting next week I really will do weekly updates."

Myself: "Yeah...I've heard that before."

So...here is my Reader's Digest version of the holidays (as told in a series of photos and captions). This, by the way, includes FOUR Christmases.

Christmas #1: At great-grandma and great-grandpa's house (the weekend before Christmas)
Bold
Ummm...maybe someone should have TOLD us they were taking a photo! This is a few of us gathered around the table for BINGO. Gotta love a Christmas with BINGO!

D with his new cash register. And, without pants. He got them wet and I didn't bring a back-up.

Davis chewing on a plastic hanger. And, without a shirt (it ALSO got wet). Of all the gifts he got - not shocking that his favorite was the hanger the clothes came on.

Sara and I (take 20). Yeah...we literally take the photo over and over again until we are BOTH happy with it.

Davis with his new tool set.

Christmas #2: Christmas Eve at Mimi and Pa-Pow's (Eric's parents)

The first gift he opened was one of his favorites - A Max and Ruby book!

Davis and Eric reading the letter from Mimi and Pa-Pow that lead him to their room where his tents and tunnels were set up.

He LOVED this!

Davis playing with the airplane that Uncle Jay got him.

Where is Diggy?

John, Jeannie and Jayson did the math on the number of presents Davis had before we got there. He had to open 1 an hour for the next 20 hours to get through them. Wow! That's a lot of presents!

Christmas #3: Christmas Eve & Christmas morning at out home

Reading "T'was the Night Before Christmas" with daddy.

Davis playing with the fire station that Santa brought him.

The proverbial "still in our PJ's Christmas morning photo."

Christmas #4: Grandma and grandpa's house (my parents)

Davis opening his new laptop!

Davis opening the firetruck he got from Uncle Chris and Aunt Char.

Family photo.

The coolest gift of all...a motorized Lightning McQueen!
