Girls Night Out

As some of you know, I coordinate a playgroup that meets the first Friday of every month with all of my friends who have kids (and a flexible enough schedule to meet on Friday mornings). Sometimes we play at the park, sometimes we go to the zoo, and sometimes we just meet at one of our houses (in hopes of the kids entertaining each other in a confined area where we can talk with each other). This month we decided to do a moms/girls night out instead. Great idea!

We met at The Rio at 4:00. The start time was chosen for several reasons:

  1. It was just early enough to have some energy left from being with the kids and husbands all day.

  2. It got us out of feeding the kids and the husbands dinner. Not to mention it probably got most of us out of baths, books and bedtime, too.

  3. We all go to bed by 9:00 so we HAD to start early!

It was so nice to talk with everyone without having a child interrupting us every 5 minutes. We talked about kids, more kids, work, life, husbands, "before kids" life, "after kids" life, and, did I mention kids? Why is it that we get away from them, and that's all we can talk about? By the way - that's a rhetorical question - no answer needed. ;0)

Needless to say, we'll be doing this again very soon!

Here are a few photos of my friends:
