After several recommendations we landed on San Diego! Short flight...super kid friendly...Legoland...an hour from Disneyland...a great hotel...and warm weather. We booked the trip and below is a photo montage of our adventure.
We left on Tuesday evening and arrived at the Sheraton in Carlsbad (they have their own private entrance to Legoland) around 8:00 pm. On Wednesday we saw some of the classic sights of San Diego (The Del, La Jolla, In-N-Out Burger, etc.). On Thursday we left San Digeo bright and early (6:00 am) for Anaheim! We spent the entire day at Disneyland and California Adventure. This was Davis' first visit to the Disney parks and we left totally exhausted at 8:00 in the evening! Friday and Saturday we spent our mornings chillin' at the hotel (ordering room service for breakfast and watching ESPN and cartoons), our days at Legoland, and our evenings watching movies and shopping. On Sunday we packed our bags, did a bit more shopping at a fab-u-lous shopping center (think Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Tiffany's) and left for home.
Our vacation was absolutely magical and there are few things better than seeing Disneyland and Legoland through the eyes of your child. We highly recommend this trip for families and we are hoping to go back to Disneyland so we can spend more than just one day there.
Here are the photos...
The pilots let Davis sit in the cockpit! How cool is that!?
Dinner at the best Mexican restaurant in Carlsbad - Casa de Bandini.
Davis in his Buzz Lightyear shirt and Disney lanyard - on our way to Disneyland.
His first Disney ride...Astro Blasters!
It's a Small World ride (Disneyland).
The highlight of the trip for Eric and I...Davis visiting with Woody and Jessie. He LOVED it!
