The March 2010 blizzard.
After a 45 minute drive home from Eric's parent's house (which is only 10 miles away) our electricity went out. We (I) made the executive decision to pack our bags (at 9pm, in the dark, with a 2 year old) and check in at the local Hampton Inn. After we checked in Eric went back home take care of Tela. While he was at home the electricity came back on! So, he came BACK to the hotel to get us and take us home. When we got home the electricity went out AGAIN! Luckily is wasn't for too long. It was a loooong, late night...as you can see from the photo (okay, and we were exaggerating a little to make a point).
