New Year's Eve

I love the story that Eric tells me about the way the his family used to celebrate New Year's Eve. Every year they would drive down from Greeley to spend the evening swimming at Celebrity Sports Center* and stay the night at a Denver-area hotel.

*Remember that awesome indoor water park off of Colorado Blvd? Okay...I'm totally dating myself.

So, since Eric and I usually don't do anything special on New Year's Eve (and you know how much I love starting a new tradition) we decided to find a local hotel with a pool (I couldn't find any cool indoor water parks that were open on new Year's Eve). We invited the Whitaker's along and had a blast! We stayed at the new Elements Hotel by Westin near Park Meadows and had pizza, movies, snacks and lots of swimming! It was SO MUCH FUN! We'll definitely be back again next year!
