No you crazies....I'm not pregnant!
But, Eric was hearing the pitter patter of little feet this afternoon. We knew the day would eventually come.
Picture this....
Eric is watching golf in the family room as I was leisurely surfing the web outside on the patio. He hears little patters upstairs but thinks it the dog. The patters stop. The patters start again...must be the dog. Wait. The dog is outside. The he thinks to himself....is someone in the house? Is there a mouse between the floors? He runs upstairs after preparing himself to defend his house against an intruder (who must have entered earlier today while we were out for Father's Day). To his surprise Davis had escaped from his crib and was running back and forth between bedrooms....silent the whole time (we are guessing he was silent to avoid getting caught).
Now what?

ok, Jake did the same thing at around 16 months (also) and never did it again (in fact he's still sleeping in his crib at 2 1/2!) There's hope. However, if he continues to do it, you have to just keep putting him back in until he gets that you won't let him get out (apparently that does not take too long typically). Your Dr. will tell you that if there is any chance that he will fall out and hurt himself, you should look into either a tent top for the crib or a toddler bed (yikes, i know!!) -- good luck babe!
