Big D Turns 1!

On January 3rd (yes, one day before his actual 1st birthday) we had a family party at grandma and grandpa May's house. Before the party he had to get psyched up for the big day by cruisin' on his fire truck. I just couldn't resist a photo of him in his skivvies...

Despite wearing a WHITE bib, would you believe it if I told you that his shirt, pants and socks were all covered in cake and frosting (hence the naked baby photo) but there was NOT A SINGLE smudge on the bib:

His coolest gifts was a totally tricked out Schwinn trike. It might take him another year to fully appreciate it...

And, go figure, his favorite part of the whole party (besides all the cool books he got as gifts) was the .99 balloon:
