Last weekend Eric and I were like to little kids in a candy store. We were up early with our peppermint hot chocolate and favorite Christmas CD playing. In a matter of hours we had the tree up, wreaths mounted, advent calendar and Christmas nick-knacks in place, and 5 gifts wrapped!
Davis loves the Christmas tree with all the lights and ornaments. Oh, the magic and wonder of Christmas begins!
I took lots of photos of getting the house ready for D's first Christmas. As I was taking the photos I was fast-forwarding time in my mind and imagined Davis looking back at photos from 2008 and saying things like "Dad...what were you wearing?" and "Eww! What kind of carpet WAS that?" Now I see why when we look at photos of when we were younger our parents say "Well, back then, that was actually cool." To which we quickly reply "No one says "cool" anymore!"
