Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

You know that sad feeling you get when you say goodbye to someone at the airport? You know, the feel that you can't help but have even though they are just going to be gone for three days. And, really, they'll be gone for three days but it's only one day that you won't see them...

Well, that is how Diggy and I felt this morning as we kissed Eric goodbye as he left for his business trip to Minneapolis.

Despite the fact that he is only gone for a few days, it gives you (and by "you" I mean "me") perspective on life. I think it is fair to say that Eric and I enjoy every single minute we are together. That's not me being braggadocios...we just have a "life is short" philosophy so we really try to make each moment count. Even still, it is times apart that make us both realize that absence really does make the heart grow fonder...even when you think it can get any fonder.

Okay, you can put away your barf bag now...I'm done.

And, below are a few phone photos I took of Dig Man tonight so that Eric could see his little man in real-time.
